23. Things - Well finally I have completed my 23 Things.
Besides the fact that it was hard to find the time as I have been very busy, I have really enjoyed the 23 Things program.
Thanks to all involved for organising/creating the program.
Thanks for having the catch up sessions - they were great and enabled me to get started and finish!
Well, what I learned will definitely help me at work in several ways - students asking me questions on certain things, finding information etc, etc.
The Library can improve their service with the 23 things by being able to research what other Libraries are doing, keeping up with technology and with making VU Library widely accessible to all on the big wide world!!
23 Things could be improved by running extra classes that actually go through step by step on certain items that are a bit tricky - running more catch up sessions!
I will definitely keep my blog and use all these wonderful new tools that I have learnt.

21. Things - Podcasting- This is great as you can listen and/or view clips. You can watch episodes you have missed on TV or you can watch a chef cooking step by step!!

22. - Things - MSN messenger is great. I use this at home to communicate with friends and relatives. I even have a webcam. This is a great way to communicate as I talk to my cousin in Malta. This way we are able to keep in touch and see each other.Libraries could use this function to communicate with other Libraries to get a quick response as they know the person is working and logged on. When they leave their busy, they would generally sign out or put 'busy' or BRB.

17. Things - Play with Delicious. Well what can I say.......tried it, found a web site that had tweety icecreams...... its ok I suppose.

16. Things - This I LOVE. Igoogle home page. It is great because you can customize your own web page easily, having things at a glance .i.e weather, quotes of the day, tips, google maps etc. This I will continue to use : )

15. Things - Google book search and scholar is a great idea if you read books and to search for books and articles. I would not use this search feature......

14 Things . Play with Google Docs

Don't know if I would use Google Docs. I still prefer Microsoft Office. Don't think that it would be a risk to Microsoft.....people like me still like the original....but don't know if I will like office 2007, might revert back then!!!

Hello everyone,

Today is a wierd weather day. Hot, muggy, windy and even rain.

I have been very busy today, doing a million things at once.......

13. Things - Playing with Google maps is very interesting. My street has not been updated with street view. It is very interesting to see your house from that angle. Don't know about the privacy aspect!!!! Great to be able to get directions from one point to another. Fun to play with!

12. Things - Prefer Facebook over myspace. Great way to keep in touch and find old friends. Since I started on facebook...back in March, I think, I have managed to get in touch with old primary and high school friends and as a result had 2 reniouns, primary and high!!! Could get lost in facebook there is too much to look at...wish I had more time to explore!!!

10 & 11 Things - I added some subscriptions and subscribed to my fav blogs!! Good way to keep up to date with news but dont have time during work to keep checking and do not want to be on a PC at home - Perfer to spend time with my family. Anyhow, great concept.

8. Things- Played with the Library Thing- It was the hardest application because I could not think of any books I read - sad aren't I.

7. Things - Had fun playing with the image chef - See what I created below!! Cool ha.
I tried to use the other generators but had issues with them, I think it may be this PC I am using.
